In Illinois, the Illinois Animal Control Act mandates that a dog's owner is responsible for paying any medical expenses, including pain and suffering and disability, if their dog has injured the victim and the victim has established that:

  • The defendant owns or is responsible for the dog
  • The victim was legally allowed to be in the location in which they were attacked
  • The victim did nothing to provoke the dog at the time they were attacked or bitten

If you have been the victim of a dog bite or dog attack, our personal injury attorneys will help you to establish liability for your injuries.
